My Granddaughter Alana is 11 she has always wanted to learn to sew. So we had a girls day we baked pies & I taught her how to sew. She made her own purse with the Scallop Square Die & the Big Shot. She LOVES to use my Big Shot! The purse is very easy. All just straight sewing. She had a blast! It took about 4 hours but remember she has never even touched a sewing machine before. She did an awesome job. We also went to the fabric store so that she could pick out the fabrics. They are all her choices & I think she did a great job with it. If you look close at the handle on the right you can see we added a little puppy with a bone button as she loves animals.
This is Alana sewing the X's on the squares. This is also my new sewing machine. It automatically makes about 75 different stitches. She had so much fun with this that I think her bag has almost every one of those stitches on it! LOL!
This is the purse. She is very happy with it & I hope you enjoyed seeing it!
If you have any questions about making one please e-mail me or if you and your friends would like to get together & stamp with me call or e-mail for a date that I am available.

Alana, you did a super job. You should be VERY proud of yourself. Keep practicing. I really like the colors of your bag.
